Frequently asked questions
A few useful answers before you book or come along to a show.
What is Gordon’s Alive?
We’re a rock covers band based near Doncaster. Our approach is simple: seat-of-your-pants rock, familiar songs and a good night out.
What kind of music do you play?
Rocked-up covers from Oasis to AC/DC, with big riffs and choruses people know. Have a look at our About page for more about the band.
What events can we book you for?
Pubs, parties, festivals and private events. Send us your date, venue, location and a little about the occasion so we can discuss the booking.
How far do you travel?
We’re based near Doncaster. Include your venue’s location when you enquire and we’ll confirm whether we can make it work.
Do you bring PA and lighting?
Tell us what the venue already has, the size of the room and any sound restrictions. We’ll agree the PA, lighting, setup and timing requirements with you before the gig.
How long do you play for, and can we request a song?
We’ll agree set lengths and timings as part of the booking. Let us know about any song requests in advance so we can confirm what’s possible.
Can we see you before booking?
Yes - public dates are on our Shows page, with updates on Facebook. Private bookings don’t appear in the public list.
How do we book?
Use the Contact page to put together an enquiry, then copy and send it to us on Facebook. A date is only booked once we’ve confirmed it with you.
Where can a venue get posters and photos?
Our Venue Assets page makes print posters, square posts and story images from your confirmed gig. You can download the band logo and a live photo, and copy a caption. Check all details before sharing.
