Privacy & cookies
How this website handles information, enquiries and external content.
Who is responsible?
Gordon’s Alive is responsible for personal information handled for this website and band bookings. For privacy questions or requests about information you’ve sent us, contact the band through the Contact page or our Facebook page.
Visiting the website
Cloudflare hosts and protects the site. Delivering pages and protecting them from abuse involves technical information such as your IP address, request time and browser details. Necessary security features may use cookies to deliver or protect a service you request.
Cookies and browser storage
This website does not include advertising pixels, Metricool integration or analytics scripts in its page code. The booking helper and poster maker do not save your entries in cookies, local storage or session storage. We do not show a site-wide accept/reject banner. An old cookie-notice preference from an earlier version may remain until it expires or you clear your browser data; this version does not read or renew it.
Fonts and calendar
Titillium Web fonts are served from this website, so loading them does not contact Google Fonts. Public gig details and bank holidays load through this website’s own endpoints. Google Calendar and GOV.UK supply the information behind the scenes. Only public event fields are sent to your browser; private booking notes and performance fees are excluded.
External photos, videos and links
The Gallery page offers an optional Cloudinary photo gallery. It does not connect to Cloudinary until you choose Allow and load photo gallery. Loading it shares connection information with Cloudinary and runs its embedded service, which may use its own browser technologies. Your choice applies only while that page is open; use Stop external gallery, or close or reload the page, to stop the embed. YouTube videos and social pages open as external links and follow those providers’ privacy and cookie settings. See Cloudinary’s privacy policy.
Booking enquiries and poster details
The enquiry helper prepares text for you to copy and send; it does not submit a form to us. The poster maker creates images, PDFs and captions in your browser. It does not upload your entries or artwork to a server. Information you choose to send by Facebook or email is handled by that service and by the band to respond to your enquiry and organise your booking.
Why we use personal information
We use enquiry information to respond and take steps you request before a booking contract, and booking information to fulfil agreed arrangements. Routine correspondence, website delivery and security may rely on legitimate interests. Records needed to meet legal or accounting obligations are retained for those purposes. We do not sell personal information.
Sharing and retention
Information may be handled by the providers needed for hosting, security, correspondence and business administration, or shared where required by law. These providers may operate outside the UK; their policies explain their processing and transfer arrangements. Enquiry and booking information is kept for as long as needed for the enquiry, agreed booking and applicable business or legal record-keeping, then deleted when no longer needed.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information. You can object where processing relies on legitimate interests. Contact the band using the links above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
